Your WHRHS PTO is hard at work providing programs, services, and gifts for the school.  In addition, we strive to provide a public forum for discussion and communication within our community.  Our October 18 PTO meeting includes a discussion requested by the Board of Education regarding the superintendent search.  All PTO meetings take place at 7:30 PM in the high school library. 

We are also fortunate to have Dr. DiGanci speak at our PTO meetings.  He always gives us an update on important matters at the high school and gives a question and answer session.  We have only 6 more scheduled PTO meetings left.  Please set your calendar for:  October 18, November 15, January 24, March 21, April 18, and May 23.  PTO meetings are a great way to stay informed of the many things happening at the high school.

Many thanks to all the family and faculty members who joined the PTO.  Thanks to you, the Back to School Night membership drive was very successful when approximately 200 parents and staff joined the PTO.  We also sold over 100 Lord & Taylor tickets.  A special thank you goes out to the students at the table outside Gym 3/4 who sold 48 tickets.  We are grateful for the efforts of Liz George, Rosemary O’Connor, and Linda Chehade and all the students who manned our membership tables and sold Lord & Taylor Charity Bash tickets at Back to School night.  Thanks are also extended to the students who helped with refreshments.

Thank you to Ellen Meyers for preparing the All School Directory.   All families who paid $15. for their annual PTO membership are entitled to the directory.  Remember, it is never too late to join.

The October 18th Lord & Taylor Benefit Bash is proving to be a big success thanks to everyone who purchased and sold tickets. We are grateful for the hard work of Judy Cotoulos who made this happen.  Lord & Taylor will be open 9AM to 10PM — ENJOY your shopping!

Please look for our exciting Sweepstakes Calendar which will be mailed in mid October.  You can support the WHRHS PTO by purchasing a chance to win in our Calendar Sweepstakes.  The Sweepstakes Calendar will be on sale October through December 23, 2005.  Drawings for 90 daily cash prizes will be held each week for the months of January, February, and March 2006.  More details to follow…
